Falls Academy
Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP)
Falls Academy is certified as a Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP), which is a type of residential treatment center designed specifically for youth who require more intensive therapeutic interventions. QRTPs were established under the Families First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) passed in 2018 to ensure that youth receive high quality care that addresses their complex emotional, behavioral and educational needs. Family involvement is key in the treatment process to transition back to the home or community.
The goal of QRTPs is to provide a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment of care that supports the individual needs of each youth and family, helping them to achieve long-term stability and well-being. QRTPs are subject to rigorous monitoring and evaluation to ensure federal and state standards for quality and effectiveness. Falls Academy is accredited by The Joint Commission to ensure standards of care, treatment, and services are consistently met.
Falls Academy is certified by the Sanctuary Institute. The Sanctuary® Model is a blueprint for clinical and organizational change which, at its core, promotes safety and recovery from adversity through the active creation of a trauma-informed community.
Youth have access to a fully-accredited on-campus school for grades 7-12, which offers special education services, high school credit recovery and high school diplomas granted through the local school district. Falls Academy residents are able to pursue their GED when deemed appropriate by their multi-disciplinary team.
Falls Academy is staffed with licensed and certified professionals who are trained to provide evidence-based treatment services. This ensures that our youth receive care from professionals who are equipped to treat their specific needs.
