Transition Residential Treatment Services for Male Adolescents
Brighter Transition Youth Treatment Center is a 32-bed transitional program licensed by the State of South Dakota and accredited by the Joint Commission. The program offers community reintegration services for youth when appropriate services may not be available in an outpatient setting.
Brighter Transition Youth Treatment Center is certified by the Sanctuary Institute. The Sanctuary® Model is a blueprint for clinical and organizational change which, at its core, promotes safety and recovery from adversity through the active creation of a trauma-informed community. Our trauma-responsive services and environment of care provides an opportunity for youth and families to continue to build short- and long-term skills to promote recovery and resiliency.
Utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches, Brighter Transition YTC provides educational, clinical, vocational and independent living planning services in a staff secure setting for low to moderate risk youth. Based on each youth’s needs and individualized treatment plan, lengths of stay can range from 6 to 9 months. In addition, youth have access to a fully-accredited on-campus school for grades 9-12, which offers special education services, high school credit recovery and high school diplomas granted through the local school district. Brighter Transition YTC is a Pearson VUE authorized testing center for youth seeking their GED at the program.
